This page will provide avenues for which one can become a Mother-to-Mother Breastfeeding Peer Counselor via different organizations, some of which are international, others are limited to America. This list is by no means exhaustive and is continually being updated. More details for each of the organizations will follow with time as well as more information European and other international/regional BPC Support Programs abroad. - The Leaky Boob has published a few fantastic pieces on the WIC BPC program. Despite the fact that benefits of breastfeeding are established and well-known and that evidence shows BPC are effective at raising breastfeeding rates in communities, WIC’s funding is continually threatened and some years, even cut.
